An authentic Terschelling farmhouse; the weight-bearing part was constructed from remnants of Norwegian tall ship Cyprian that sank off the coast of Terschelling in 1905. A small Shipwreck Museum is located on the top floor. Since 1976, 150 different shipwrecks were discovered by Terschelling divers.
In the course of the years, thousands of different objects were brought up from both historic and modern ships. Many treasures found on the beach are on display, from the contents of containers which washed ashore, to the popular "letters in a bottle".
A special exhibition shows the activities of divers on gold cargo ship Lutine.
The Shipwreck Museum is open daily after 10:00 am.
