Everywhere on Terschelling you can find bunkers. The Association of Bunker Preservation is currently excavating a number of bunkers, in particular at the Tiger complex. This radar installation played an important role in the air war above the Wadden islands and the Northsea.
During the guided tour you will be informed about the German occupier and visit the different bunkers and of course the big Bertha commanding bunker.
Tickets for the tour of € 9.00 per person. The excursion lasts approximately 2 hours and is Dutch spoken. German speaking tour and groups on request via firstname.lastname@example.org Not suitable for small children or people with limited mobility. Pets are not allowed.
The visitor center of the Bunker Museum is open from October 28 on Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm, on Friday and Saturday from 12 pm to 4 pm and on Sunday from 10.30 am to 3 pm. The visitor center is closed on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
From february 14 to february 29 2020: Tuesday to Saturday 12.00 - 16.00 and Sunday 10.30 - 15.00
The entrance to the visitor center without a guide, but including the bunker route and bunker with bottom finds costs € 5.00 from 6 years (payable locally).
